Embracing your Warrior Sage energy is about moving beyond illusion and denial to embrace your perception and wisdom. The Warrior Sage is symbolic of our journey to identify and understand our innermost feelings. What does this open up for us: all of life, everything we want, dream of and desire. Who doesn't want that?

Another way to get back into the "FLOW"
Realizing that you cannot control others
Too funny, I have had the blog up all day, getting ready to make my entry...almost ready...yes, anytime now...oh, damn this entry should have been done this morning, or early afternoon...shit, I have to get this done by 5 pm...fuck, this has to get done before Eden gets here for the evening.
In between, emails, inter-company fights and conference calls and txt parent questioning from ex, and more work meetings and more internal fighting and then a call with the current-ex-current now ex again this was my inner dialogue! :) Ah, a true spiritual master at work. You are being led through this 90 days by the BEST people! HAHA
So I finally go to see what was the next item on the blog post for FLOW and it's "realizing that you cannot control others!" Too funny, the Universe has me taking this course right along with each of you and for that I am thankful.
The frustration and the anger we feel many times in our lives is the result of not being able to control a situation or others. IF only...If only they would or she would or he would then. If only...then... Always a sign that we have lost our center and as Abraham would put it we are definitely traveling Upstream.
This is an old clip but I listen to it frequently as it reminds me of where I really want to be.

Some days we just aren't in a place to not want to control the situation or others. Some days the best we can do is just let go, and that my friends is more than enough!
Another great realization is that if you cannot control situations or others they can also not control you.
You are then FREE.
You now control your own destiny!

Meditation and Happiness
When we are happy we are energized, we become more effective.
People are inspired and influenced by people who are happy. In Buddhism to seek happiness requires a shift in your thinking. A paradigm shift as Bob Proctor would say. In order to get out of our own way (our own suffering) we need to move our attention or vibration (as Abraham would say) to another place. Meditation in it's many forms allows us to do this. There are so many types of meditation: walking or hiking, chanting, sitting silent in zazen, visualization meditation, sound meditation, drumming meditation. You even meditate while eating a cookie mindfully. Now that is one of my favorites :)
When we meditate that shift happens inside of us. We can move our energy to another place. We can experience inner peace. When we have inner peace we feel more positive, centered, grounded. We can get to happy.
Meditation makes happiness.
Meditation is proven to be an extreme effective way to calm down your mind, make you happy and give you energy. Buddhist monks often have this clear and radiant light when they smile and even around them. Their happiness and light comes from their core, I believe their hearts. Their minds and bodies are stable.
I found this diagram online, the website is included below. I think it's really cool and it focuses on the benefits of meditation.
This diagram is a free form exercise where the author is using conscious writing to think about meditation.
I encourage you to find a way to meditate for at least 5 minutes both today and tomorrow.
Use can use the cookie meditation with your kids if you want to.
Practice eating a cookie mindfully.
Do a walking meditation where you simply observe nature.
Listen to the Bob Proctor - Shifting Your Paradigm meditation before bed.
Take some time for you.
Find your center and be happy!

Meditate
As many of you know I started meditating when I first moved to Chicago in 1988. I have worked with all types of meditation. Faith based, Indigenous, Psychic and Zen.
I am an equal opportunity spiritualist! That said, there is an app for the iPhone called Omvana. I downloaded it and came across Bob Proctor - Shift Your Paradigm. It's a great meditation and I have found it to be very powerful.
It's 16 minutes, his voice will lull you to sleep. I always listen to this before bed and when I do I have an amazing restful sleep. Try it!

Photo Journal Idea
Another Journaling Idea would be to take photos and create a photo journal.
You can also create a photo journal in the iCloud: https://www.icloud.com/journal/
You can use http://www.blipfoto.com/ the daily photo journal. Capture one photo that sums up today, then add some words. It's that simple
http://pic-collage.com/ keep calm and pic collage (there's a website and an app for the iPhone which is pretty cool. You can connect to Facebook, oh...the possibilities.
This allows you to create collages from your pics. You could also then print or save them into a document and journal around them.

Ideas of pictures you could take this week:
Things I noticed today...
Things I love...
Things I am grateful for....
I am going to try this for fun and will share over the weekend!
