Michelle's Flow Mandala

My mandala is about being in the West of the Medicine Wheel.
The place of the bear and letting go.

Then moving to the North the place of completion.  Winter, snow, gratitude, abundance.

My lesson with flow is to let go of everything meaning something.
To let go of my stories
to embrace change
especially as it relates to my ability to love myself
and in turn be loved and supported.

Journaling!

Checking my e-mail vey quickly before I sit down to JOURNAL!! I received Michelle's latest blog about journaling.  This is one of my favorite things to do and I will share 3 ways that I really enjoy.  Years ago, I read a book in which the author suggested keeping a 10 year Journal.  For me, this means several 5 Subject Notebooks that have been filled for about the last 5 years.  Looking back though these journals have made me cry--just to see how far I've come, what my fears were, my hopes, signs...ect.
In the same Journal, I often write letters to God, Angels, and my guides.  This helps me articulate what I want to create in my life as well as express what I'm hoping to get some help with...It never fails : )

Separate from my 5 Subject Notebook Journal is a small gratitude journal that I keep but should be more diligent at writing in.
Journaling is one of my favorite things.  I am so excited to read how others journal!

It's time to write, draw, collage, paint...

It's Journal Week

I don't know about you all, but I over the years I have probably acquired 20+ journals with 1 or 2 pages used in them.  I think I get stopped by needing to write something profound.  Over the last couple years I have actually begun to journal in a different way.  I now use drawing journals and draw and add quotes and pictures to my journal.  Sometimes I collage.  Sometimes I write down song lyrics, or stories or websites or blogs I have visited or want to visit.  Moving beyond the need to write something wise has really opened up my ability to look within and understand myself better.

Why keep a journal

1. It forces you to unplug and recharge, to get into the flow.

2. Gratitude journaling can make you happier & it increases the flow.

3. Writing in a diary or journal can reduce stress.

Top of FormBottom of Fo4. Journaling can help you to "blow up, throw away or let go of" negative thoughts.

5. It's empowering and it takes you downstream (into the flow).

There are all kinds of journals: writing, food, dream, art or create a new category.

Philosopher and psychologist William James said "If you can change your mind, you can change your life” -- and journaling can help you do just that. Writing about the ups and downs of your daily life can help you to get perspective on your experiences and find lessons in them. Keeping a journal is a constant and clear way to remind yourself that YOU -- and nobody else -- are the author of your own life story.

I will share some of my journal pages to give you an idea of how I have transformed journaling.  I encourage you all to share how you journal and try a new way to journal over the next 5 days.

Aubrey and Epiphany's Mandalas

I had the opportunity to do my mandala with Epiphany so I have included hers as well.

Thank you for the opportunity to get into flow!!

Anna D Flow Mandala

I did the mandala..without judgement and flowed..no attachment to the outcome just went with it..and I love the way it made me feel..very FREE =)

I will also say I usually dont do some of these exercises since I always say I am not an artist..not that creative..not a good drawer...(especially in this group--lots of awesome artists out there!!) and the fact I said hey whatever comes out of this is cool..wow..imagine what I could produce and make happen in my life if I just let go of this perfectionism idea..=)
